POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Technology Architect (TA) is responsible for providing direction on technical requirements and solutions for the programs and/or business development opportunities. They will also be responsible for the overall technical integrity of the DSP team supporting the SkyTracker/CORIAN organization and defining the technology roadmap. The TA will participate in the pursuit, development, prototype, and support of the program life cycle by providing technical leadership across the SkyTracker/CORIAN mission. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Establish customer needs then flow those technical needs into the technical roadmap

  • Refine business/technical requirements and establish scope and schedule parameters to execute projects

  • Write clear and persuasive technical papers and technical proposals

  • Responsible for overall Engineering execution, having decision authority over the technical baseline

  • Understand the impact of technical decisions on the overall budget and schedule for the Engineering tasks

  • Support Engineering Review Boards, Program Management Reviews, and other technical exchange meetings with customers and internally

  • Assist with enabling the roadmap to be executed efficiently and effectively by highlighting technical risks, staffing requirements, and other dependencies

  • Provide leadership to system demonstrations

  • Attend technical interchange meetings and represent the organization in matters pertaining to the project

  • Manage and mentor the DSP team for SkyTracker/CORIAN organization

  • Ability to travel 30% (CONUS)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expertise and experience in the following technologies:

  • Digital Signal Processing

  • RF design and propagation

  • Antenna design

  • Radar systems

  • X-MIDAS

  • Experience guiding a capability from concept through to a developed product

  • Senior level oral communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent written communication skills, with strong experience developing white papers and technical proposals

  • Strong customer and user relations skills as well as experience at technical interchange meetings and representing the organization in technical matters

  • Experience establishing and maintaining working relationship with all levels of the corporate organization

  • Experience conducting system engineering, analytical, and trade study activities using structured techniques

  • Management experience of a team of approximately 20 individuals

  • Understanding of software defined radio systems including receiver architectures, software channelization, modulation/demodulation techniques, spectral analysis, and/or error-correcting codes.

  • Holds active TS/SCI clearance

  • Experience with Camera solutions

  • Have fluency in MATLAB, SIMULINK or similar simulation environment
