Job Summary

The primary focus of the position is our Lifestyle Full Service Brands – Westin, LeMeridien, Tribute, Autograph Collection & Renaissance hotels.

On a project / tactical level, the successful candidate for this position provides and manages all aspects of franchised, managed, or corporate projects for new construction, conversion, or adaptive re-use, inspiring internal and external stakeholders to create design solutions that thrill guests and align with brand strategy.   • Manageservices to scheduled deliverables.

  • Supervise,direct, motivate and train assigned staff.

  • Managedesign consultants, their proposals, contracts and invoicing to projectobjectives.

  • Maymanage proper organizational structure, staff selection, performancemanagement, salary administration, career planning, and staff budget.

  • Responsiblefor documenting, maintaining, administering and improving the processes fordelivering services.

  • Ensurethe selection and development of building products relevant to the brandspecifications.

  • CoordinateCriteria/Facilities programs for assigned projects.

  • Manageselling the brand and design and negotiation of project to the externalcustomer.

  • Provideinformation, interpretation and guidance daily to outside owners/franchisees aswell as internal/design/construction staff for adapting brand standards tospecific projects.

  • Manageproject communication to owners, franchisees, internal project stakeholders anddisciplines.

  • Participatein site visit/market survey to develop better understanding of site/marketdemands.

  • Contributeto creation of the project budget and manage to that project budget.


Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years progressive experience in architecture at adesign firm for large commercial or hospitality projects

  • Knowledgeableabout innovation & trends both in & outside of industry

  • Strongbusiness acumen

  • Ability tobuild strong working relationships

  • Ability tonegotiate and be flexible when appropriate

  • Proficient in usingMicrosoft Office, scheduling, project & database mgmt. software (e.g.,Microsoft Project, AutoCad, Bluebeam, Adobe).

Education and Professional Certification:

  • 4-year degree in Architecture or related design disciplinepreferred, or equivalent work experience within the industry

  • Architectural license preferred
